  6.    File Hacker is a simple utility that allows one to alter a File's Finder
  7. Attributes. It is available in both application program and desk accessory
  8. forms.  File Hacker and File Hacker DA are not free. They are shareware.

  17.    The well documented source code for both File Hacker and File Hacker DA is available by sending $10.00 to the above address. They are both written in the Lightspeed flavor of the C programming language.

  19.    You may use File Hacker for 14 days on a trial basis. After that time, you should either destroy it, or send the appropriate fee to me. You may distribute it as you please.

  22.   Usage:

  24.       Usage of File Hacker and File Hacker DA are identical. After selecting "Hack File...", the standard Macintosh File Selection Dialog will appear. After selecting the file in the usual manner, a dialog displaying all of the current Finder Parameters for that file will be displayed. The Volume
  25. Directory Attributes "File Protect" and "File Locked" are displayed for informational purposes, but cannot be changed.
  26.      The  File's Creator, Type, or any of its Flag Bits may be changed by clicking the appropriate check boxes. Selecting SAVE will save the attributes and exit the program. Selecting SAVE+ will save the attributes
  27. and return you to the Standard File Selection Dialog to allow you to edit another file without having to relaunch the program. CANCEL will exit the program without saving the attributes. CANCEL+ will dispose of your changes and return you to the Standard File Selection Dialog to allow you to edit anothe file without having to relaunch the program.
  28.      In the DA version of the program, the DA is not closed unless Quit is explicitly selected from the HACK menu.

  30.      File Hacker and File Hacker DA were written on a MAC plus and have not been tested on any other MAC cause I only have one MAC and no access to any others..(whew).   But, I didnt take advantage of any MAC + specific ROM calls, and have tried to keep the program as small as possible, so it should be perfectly usable on any other MAC.  If you encounter any problems, feel
